Frequently Asked Questions

Q1:How much is a first acupuncture visit?

The initial acupuncture consultation is 30 minutes and $55, for first-time acupuncture patients, and covers your initial assessment and evaluation. The home page describes it as a personalized health plan for $55.

Q2:What does acupuncture feel like?

The site says most people feel no or minimal pain, because the needles are solid, metallic and hair-thin. Some people feel energized by treatment and others feel relaxed.

Q3:Is acupuncture safe?

The site notes that the FDA approved acupuncture needles for use by licensed practitioners in 1996, and requires sterile, nontoxic needles labelled for single use.

Q4:What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel. Missed appointments without sufficient notice are charged the full fee, and each patient receives one courtesy waiver for their first missed visit.

Q5:How long does a microneedling visit take?

The whole treatment is about an hour, and the microneedling itself takes about 15 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.

Q6:How many microneedling treatments will I need?

Some patients need a single treatment once a year, but most are advised to have a series about 4 weeks apart. For concerns such as acne scars, the site suggests 6 to 8 sessions at 4 to 6 week intervals.

Q7:How do I book?

Book online through the clinic's Jane booking page, call (505) 660-7860, or write to the clinic through the contact page.
