About

About this getaway

Stargate Farm is a private oceanview farm sanctuary on 18 acres in the hills of North Kohala on Hawaiʻi Island (Big Island), hosted by Lacye Weeks. It is a home and working farm designed around something increasingly rare: space and time.

This is not a short vacation rental. The Stargate Legacy Circle is an invitation to make the sanctuary your home for a season — a minimum of 90 days — so there is room to move beyond visiting and begin living here: becoming familiar with the land, the farm, the community, and the slower rhythm of North Kohala.

Stargate’s public framing is simple and intentional: Stargate provides the sanctuary. You bring the purpose. For some guests that means creative or meaningful work. For others it is healing, contemplation, spiritual practice, deeper connection, or time shared with people they love. Teachers, practitioners, and facilitators may also use the private home as a place to continue meaningful work and thoughtfully share it with the people they serve.

The home offers three peaceful king bedrooms with premium memory-foam mattresses and organic linens, whole-home air conditioning, and a fully equipped chef’s kitchen with Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Bosch appliances — a natural gathering place for cooking and shared meals. Natural stone, granite, copper, wood, and thoughtful craftsmanship shape the interiors. Seasonal farm touches from the land and sister farm New Hope — fruits, citrus, nuts, eggs, honey, and fresh-baked sourdough — offer a taste of what is grown and created in North Kohala.

The Circle is intentionally small because connection and trust matter. Stargate is gathering kind, curious, wholehearted people who value honesty, conscious choices, and genuine relationship — people who want to live fully, keep growing, and share the best of life with others. Inquire and apply through stargatefarm.net; current details and contact live on the site.

FAQ

Good to know

Where is Stargate Farm?

On 18 private oceanview acres in the hills of North Kohala on Hawaiʻi Island (Big Island), near Kapaau, Hawaii 96755. Details and inquiry paths are on stargatefarm.net.

What is the Stargate Legacy Circle?

An invitation to make the sanctuary your home for a season — 90 days or longer — with time and freedom to shape that season around what matters most to you. Stargate provides the sanctuary; you bring the purpose. The Circle is intentionally small; explore and apply via stargatefarm.net / contact.

Is this a short vacation rental or FarmStay weekend?

No. The current public offering is a minimum 90-day seasonal stay through the Legacy Circle — designed for living on the land, not a traditional short stay. Confirm current availability and fit directly with the hosts.

Who is Stargate for?

Alignment matters more than job title. The Legacy Circle suits kind, grounded, respectful, self-directed people who appreciate the home and land, value personal growth, and want to participate in something greater than simply staying in a beautiful place - whether they are creatives, teachers, facilitators, families, or guests doing something entirely their own.

Who is Stargate not a fit for?

Travellers looking for a short resort vacation, nightlife, or a quick FarmStay weekend will not find that in the Legacy Circle framing. If you need hotel-style turnovers, large event production, or a stay under 90 days, this is likely not the right container — ask the hosts if something else is ever offered.

What is the home like?

Three peaceful king bedrooms with premium memory-foam mattresses and organic linens; whole-home air conditioning; a chef’s kitchen with Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Bosch appliances; and interiors finished with natural stone, granite, copper, and wood. Designed for deep rest, shared meals, and slow mornings.

What farm-fresh touches might be available?

As available seasonally from the land and sister farm New Hope: fruits, citrus, nuts, eggs, honey, and fresh-baked sourdough — as described on stargatefarm.net.

Can teachers or facilitators use Stargate for their work?

Yes — the public site notes that practitioners, teachers, and facilitators may use Stargate as a private sanctuary to continue meaningful work and thoughtfully share it with the people they serve. Bring trusted friends, family, teachers, or practitioners into your season. Confirm fit and capacity through the Circle application.

What is the difference between Stargate Farm and New Hope?

New Hope is the neighboring family farm a few minutes away - honey, broader food-growing, and other crops. Stargate itself is primarily the young organic avocado orchard and oceanview sanctuary home. They are separate properties that are deeply connected in the family's larger vision.

What is New Hope Honey?

Raw, unfiltered honey harvested in small batches from hives on the family’s North Kohala farm among avocado orchards, citrus, coffee flowers, and tropical blooms. Sold through the Stargate Shop and served to guests during stays when available.

How do I inquire or apply for the Legacy Circle?

Start at stargatefarm.net — explore the Circle, then use the Contact path to reach the hosts and complete their application so they can learn more about you. Email aloha@stargatefarm.net or call/text 808-557-5439.

Who hosts Stargate Farm?
