Our Story

I grew up in Oregon, a daughter of my Cuban father and my mother from New Orleans, raised with a strong connection to Cuban culture and exposure to multiple cultures. Those interests led me to San Diego, where I pursued psychology. After my bachelor's I worked as an ABA therapist, then earned a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Latino/as, connecting deeply to Narrative therapy. I have been working in the field for over 9 years across residential eating-disorder and body-image settings, classrooms and families, adolescents with neurodivergence, Assertive Community Treatment for people with homelessness histories, and group practices supporting Active Duty service members, veterans, and their families. Trainings I have benefited from include Somatic Experiencing, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, CBT, and DBT, plus independent exploration of LGBTQIA+ affirming care and Consensual Non-monogamy. I became licensed in California as an LPCC at the end of 2021 and as an LMFT at the start of 2022, and obtained my Oregon LPC in 2025.
