Mukuru Eco-Tented Camps is a community-connected eco glamping camp in Mkuru village near Usa River, Arusha, Tanzania. You do not only stay at the camp: you stay within the Mkuru Maasai community, with a historical bond and shared commitment to sustainable development. Every visit directly contributes to local wellbeing while guests are welcomed to explore, connect, and feel at home.
Five canvas eco tents on platforms (about 35 sqm each) offer king or twin beds, clothes racks, night tables, and balcony views over the Mkuru landscape. A Makuti house built from local materials sleeps up to four. Two dormitories accommodate volunteers and groups, and a natural campsite welcomes self-equipped campers. The open dining and sitting hall, fireplace, solar power, rain harvesting, home garden, and energy-efficient stoves keep the footprint low while comfort stays real.
