About this getaway
Harmony PEC is a private retreat centre on 28 acres of forest, wetlands, and 1,400 feet of Lake Ontario shoreline in Waupoos, Prince Edward County (3672 County Road 8). Founders Sera Mansueto and Michael Ritchie designed it so a booking of the five cabins gives a group the entire property.
Stay type on harmonypec.com/cabins: five luxury cabins in a circle around a fire pit at the top of an escarpment. Each cabin has two twin XL beds or one king with privacy canopies, a private bathroom and separate shower (shower floor from shoreline stones), organic flax linens, Haven plant-based mattresses, cork yoga mats, hemp meditation cushions, local organic teas, and essential-oil amenities. Each night supports EcoStay reforestation.
Add the Nourish package for organic plant-based meals from local farms and foraged foods, prepared by Chef Chris Byrne. Programming listed on the site includes yoga, numerology and human design, plant ID walks, energy work, massage (Nicole Dagher RMT), sound immersion, ecstatic dance, infrared sauna blanket, and other sessions with Michael. 2022 Quinte Business Achievement Award for Sustainability of the Year. The idea for Harmony came to Michael in a meditation; Sera brought sustainability and design. Cabins sit where trees did not need to be cut. They host their own Experience Harmony retreats and also let other practitioners bring a group and use the land as backdrop. Across the road from a winery, next to a lavender field.
