Ben Kim, MD, FRCPC is a certified medical and cosmetic dermatologist and the Founder & Medical Director of Sage Dermatology in Toronto, Canada. He completed his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from McMaster University and his dermatology residency at the University of Ottawa where he was a chief resident. Dr. Kim has published over 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at major conferences. He is a member of the Canadian Dermatology Association, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Kim provides evidence-based treatments tailored to each patient and prioritizes honest, effective, and meaningful care. Outside of work, he enjoys working out and spending time with his two cats, Beanie and Eggie.

Yes for medical skin conditions (e.g. skin cancer, mole checks, warts, acne, rosacea) β€” a physician referral is required. Cosmetic concerns do not require a referral; call or email info@sagedermatology.ca to book.

If the reason for consultation is medical, the consultation is covered by OHIP. Non-OHIP / cosmetic services are billed separately; ask the clinic for details.

Q4:What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel by email or phone as soon as possible. A no-show fee may apply if the appointment is not cancelled at least 3 days prior.

Q5:Do you accept insurance?

Sage Dermatology accepts University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP). For non-OHIP services you receive an invoice that can be submitted to work insurance or a Health Spending Account when appropriate.
