Our Story

The inspiration for The Therapy Place blossomed out of my personal experience with stress and disconnection from my own body. Years ago, I found myself overwhelmed by the demands of daily life, feeling lost amidst the noise. I ventured to various wellness centers, searching for the right fit, but often left feeling like just another number. This realization ignited a passion within me: I wanted to create a space where people felt truly seen and heard. In 2020, The Therapy Place opened its doors, filled with the warmth and understanding I once longed for. Each day, I meet individuals from different backgrounds, each with their own stories. It drives me to continually learn new techniques and refine existing ones so that I can offer the most compassionate and effective support possible. Watching clients leave with lighter hearts and brighter smiles affirms that this is more than just a business; it’s a community of healing and growth. The Therapy Place embodies the spirit of Nanaimo—a blend of resilience, beauty, and connection—allowing me to fulfil not just my dream, but also those of the wonderful souls I am privileged to work with.
