Frequently Asked Questions

Q1:What does the first visit cost?

$230 in total: the initial examination ($110) and your first acupuncture treatment ($120), on the same day. It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes. Follow-up treatments are $120.

Q2:Is acupuncture covered by my benefits?

Not by OHIP. Many extended health plans cover the initial examination and acupuncture by a Registered TCM Practitioner, usually up to a yearly limit. Herbs, dietary consultations and pulse diagnosis are usually not covered. The clinic cannot see your plan's coverage, so check with your insurer before your visit.

Q3:Which insurers do you bill directly?

Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Green Shield Canada, Desjardins, iA Financial Group, Empire Life, Equitable Life, Beneva and Medavie Blue Cross, plus many plan administrators such as ClaimSecure, Benefit Plan Administrators, Johnston Group and People Corp. For other insurers you pay at the visit and receive an invoice to submit for reimbursement.

Q4:Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly. Some insurance plans ask for a doctor's note before they pay, so check your plan. The clinic encourages you to keep your family doctor informed.

Q5:What if I need to cancel?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice by phone or text at 647-342-2281. There is no cancellation fee.

Q6:How do I pay?

You pay at the end of each visit, by credit card, cash or e-transfer.

Q7:Where is the clinic and is there parking?

Unit 229, 1550 Enterprise Road, Mississauga, near Hwy 401 and Dixie Rd, with free parking at the building and no time limit. The clinic moved from Dundas St W in Etobicoke in May 2026.
