Social Nature Movement (SNM) runs Auckland's SNM Bio Tour — a guided night kayak on glowing water around Torbay. Guests paddle after dark at Okura (high tide) or Waiake Beach (low tide), with an occasional launch at Long Bay when wind or tide makes the usual sites unsuitable.
Tours typically run about two hours (often described as 2–3 hours), timed around tides, moon phase, and weather. SNM provides kayak, paddle, and a PFD with safety light. Transport is not included; an optional SNM Bio-Bus from SkyCity / SkyTower is NZ$50 return (Bio Bus transport only; the tour starts from NZ$95 per person) (about 30 minutes one way; meet one hour before start outside SkyCity/SkyTower).
