Our Story

My path to founding RISE Anxiety and Depression Clinic Halifax is deeply personal. I witnessed firsthand the burdens of anxiety and depression through the experience of close friends and family. It became clear to me that many people suffer in silence, whether from stigma, misinformation, or simply a lack of access to compassionate care. Inspired by their stories and my journey in mental health, I wanted to create a nurturing environment that feels like a second home. With a focus on individualized treatment, I developed RISE not just as a clinic, but as a sanctuary where every voice matters. I prioritize building a genuine rapport with each client, understanding their unique stories and struggles. My drive stems from the belief that we can foster change—not just in our clients’ lives but throughout Halifax as a community. This isn’t just a job for me; it’s a calling. RISE is a reflection of my commitment to making mental health support approachable, effective, and woven into the very fabric of our local culture. Together, we can start a conversation and break the cycle of isolation.
