Our Story

My journey into the world of martial arts began as a quest for balance during tumultuous times in my life. I had always been captivated by the grace of Tai Chi, and when I first tried it, I felt an immediate sense of calm wash over me. With each movement, I discovered not only physical strength but a pathway toward inner peace. This passion drove me to delve deeper, studying under remarkable masters and immersing myself in the philosophies that underscore this ancient practice. Establishing Grant's Martial Arts Academy wasn’t just about teaching a skill; it became a commitment to share this newfound harmony with others. I dreamt of a space where anyone could come, regardless of age or ability, to rediscover their connection with themselves and the world around them. Since opening our doors in Dartmouth, NS, I've been privileged to witness countless transformations. Students often share stories of how Tai Chi has not only improved their physical health but has also allowed them to cultivate mindfulness in their everyday lives.
