Our Story

My journey into the world of martial arts began in my childhood, deeply inspired by the Shaolin monks and their harmonious balance of body and mind. After years of competitive practice, I found that the true essence of martial arts lies not just in the physical discipline, but in the cultivation of one's spirit. This realization propelled me to open the Shaolin Martial Arts Academy in Richmond, BC. I wanted to create a sanctuary where people could explore Tai Chi in a nurturing environment. Every day, I witness transformations in my students—how they walk through our doors burdened, then leave with a sense of serenity and confidence. Being part of this community has been a privilege. It’s about sharing wisdom from the past while empowering individuals for the future.
