Frequently Asked Questions

Q1:How much does a physiotherapy visit cost?

An initial assessment is $200 for 60 minutes, or $105 for 30 minutes with Kristen Harris only. Subsequent visits are $105 for 30 minutes, $150 for 45 minutes and $200 for 60 minutes.

Q2:Does Ascend Physiotherapy direct bill insurance?

No. The clinic does not do any direct billing but will issue a receipt to claim on your own health insurance plan. The site says physiotherapy provided by registered therapists should be covered under most health insurance plans.

Q3:What is the cancellation policy?

The clinic requires a minimum of 24 hours notice for all cancellations and rescheduling. No-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are charged a full session price.

Q4:Are sessions one-on-one?

Yes. The site states that all sessions are exclusively one-on-one, to allow undivided attention on your treatment plan.

Q5:Where is the clinic and where do I park?

Suite 202, 3053 Edgemont Blvd, on the second floor of the Edgemont Commons building in Edgemont Village. Access is by elevator or stairwell to the right of the BlueShore Financial entrance. The building has free 1 hour visitor parking on P1 (register your licence plate with Indigo Parking using the QR code in the clinic), and there is free 1 and 2 hour parking in the village.

Q6:What is IMS dry needling?

Intramuscular stimulation is a form of dry needling that inserts very fine single use acupuncture needles into trigger points in muscles. The site says the therapists who use it have specific training and certification, and decide as part of your assessment whether it is appropriate for you.

Q7:What are the clinic hours?

The site lists Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and notes that hours may vary by day.
