Our Story
Founded in 1983, Pathways Serious Mental Illness Society began as the North Shore Schizophrenia Society, created to provide support for families of those suffering from serious mental illnesses. Over the years, it has evolved into a vibrant community resource, offering education, advocacy, and peer support, all delivered by trained volunteers with lived experience. Their mission is to alleviate the suffering caused by serious mental illnesses through a holistic approach that emphasizes family involvement and community engagement.
