Our Story

BC Seniors and Pensioners Nanaimo was born from a deep-seated desire to fill a gap in our community—providing a safe and supportive space for seniors. Growing up in Nanaimo, I frequently noticed how difficult it was for many elders to connect and access wellness resources. Driven by my own family's journey through aging, I realized that we need a nurturing place where seniors can come together, share their experiences, and learn valuable tools for living healthily and happily. Watching my own parents struggle with loneliness and health issues opened my eyes to the need for community-driven support. That's why I decided to create this center, where every individual can feel seen, valued, and empowered. Together, we can create vibrant lives that reflect the joys of our golden years.
