Clinical Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor
Elaine Walker is a Clinical Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor (Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling, MPCC, and RQS) with a Diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling and specialized certification in Sex and Intimacy Counselling. Before counselling, she worked as a nurse in extended care and medical office settings, bringing a holistic perspective to client-centered care. She is a member in good standing with CPCA and maintains professional liability insurance.

Q1:Do you offer online counselling?
Yes. Phone, video (Zoom), and text sessions are available seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. Online sessions use encrypted tele-health software that meets Canada's encryption and privacy laws.
Q2:How much do sessions cost?
60-minute individual sessions are $135 and 60-minute couples sessions are $160. Extended 90-minute sessions are $175 (individual) or $220 (couples). Payment is by cash, e-transfer, debit tap, or credit card.
Q3:Can I use extended health insurance?
Check your plan to confirm coverage for a Clinical Counsellor (MPCC, RQS). Elaine may direct bill through Telus eClaims or ProviderConnect for eligible insurers; otherwise you receive a receipt for reimbursement.
Q4:Where is the Kelowna office?
In-person appointments are at 375-1855 Kirschner Road, Kelowna, BC, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Elaine uses a trauma-informed approach and draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 and 2), and CBT-I for sleep, tailored to each client.
Q6:Do you offer clinical supervision?
Yes. Elaine provides clinical supervision for full members and provisional or intern counsellors through CPCA (RPC and MPCC), ACCT, and CCPCP, in person or online.
