About

About this getaway

Yelverton Brook is a family-owned conservation and wildlife sanctuary on 100 acres in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. Joy and Simon Ensor have welcomed guests here since 1992, offering self-contained Jarrah, Sheoak, and Peppermint lodges plus studio stays surrounded by jarrah and peppermint bushland.

Each two-bedroom lodge sleeps up to four adults with vaulted ceilings, panoramic bush views, full kitchens, wood-fire warmth in cooler months, and a private outdoor hot tub under southern stars. Kangaroos, possums, woylies, bandicoots, and rich birdlife visit the patios and lawns. Hosts provide wildlife feed and guidance so guests can reconnect with nature without leaving the property.

The sanctuary sits minutes from Margaret River wineries, coastal walks, and forest trails, yet feels worlds away from resort strips. Stays suit nature-first wellness travel, romantic escapes, family reunions, and slow Margaret River bases where the experience is the bush itself.

Joy and Simon Ensor built Yelverton Brook as both an award-winning conservation sanctuary and a place to detach from everyday noise. For more than three decades they have cared for critically endangered species habitat while hosting guests in hand-built lodges named for the trees around them.
