Frequently Asked Questions

Q1:How do I book as a new client?

New clients phone Heather at (780) 604-3861 before booking. She follows up by phone for a brief consultation about your health, your past experience with massage and your goals, and after that you can book online. The home page says new clients need 1 to 2 days' notice.

Q2:Do you offer direct billing?

Yes. Point of Ease Therapy offers direct billing to over 30 providers, listed on the Direct Billing page. Heather cannot share private details of your plan, so the site advises calling your provider in advance if you are unsure of your massage coverage. If insurance does not go through as expected, you are responsible for paying for the appointment.

Q3:Is tipping expected?

No. The site says tipping is not expected, and suggests a Google review, following Heather on social media or the refer-a-friend program as ways to show appreciation.

Q4:What should I expect at my appointment?

The treatment room is at the front of the house, to the left of the front door, and there are four shallow steps to the door. Parking is on the street or in the driveway. If you cannot climb the steps, call and Heather can book a homecare session instead.

Q5:What are the masking and health rules?

Heather is masked during appointments and the site says masks are required for clients, and that you should be feeling well. When COVID-19 waves are lower, she says she is fine with the mask removed while you lie face down. When waves are higher or after higher risk activities, both of you stay masked throughout.

Q6:What if I am late or miss an appointment?

Please arrive on time or five minutes early. If you are late, Heather will call you after 5 to 10 minutes. If you do not show, she will try to reach you and will leave 20 minutes after the appointment time. The site asks clients not to repeatedly cancel and rebook.
